Job Description

This position can be based at any of Piedmont's maintenance bases.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance Programs Department.
  • Manage processes and limitations changes within the aircraft Maintenance Inspection Program.
  • Develop workcards and Maintenance Inspection Program changes based on the Structural Deviation Inspection Requirements (SDIRs) or Engineering documents.
  • Maintain Structural Deviation Inspection Requirements logbooks.
  • Maintain Maintenance Inspection Program manuals.
  • Update the Maintenance Inspection Program through periodic evaluation.
  • Coordinate Maintenance Inspection Program changes with the Records and Maintenance Planning Departments.
  • Develop and revising workcards based upon PMRB changes, company policy changes and/or Maintenance personnel submissions. Presents proposed changes to the Program Review Board for approval.
  • Review content of actual workcards to make sure the contents meet task requirements and are compatible with other tasks in the maintenance program.
  • Perform company mandated SMS functions.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:     

  • Three (3) years of Part 121 airline maintenance experience
  • FAA Airframe/Powerplant Certification
  • Must possess general knowledge of federal regulations
  • 1 year of Piedmont Airline supervisory or management experience
  • Must possess computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Access is desired)

Preferred Qualifications:        

  • 5 years or greater of supervisory or management experience with Piedmont Airlines

Work Environment:      

  • Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment
  • Some travel is required

Physical Requirements:     

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
