This position may be located in Harrisburg, PA or Salisbury, MD.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Piedmont is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to work with the Inflight Services and Inflight Training departments to audit, streamline, and monitor changes to Piedmont Airlines operating policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the desire to improve the Piedmont employee and customer service experience by assisting members of Inflight Management and Training in verifying compliance with American Airlines policies, Federal Aviation Regulations, and other Piedmont Airlines operating department policies, as applicable.

Essential Job Functions:

Job duties may evolve over time and will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with Flight Attendant Manual revisions to monitor for compliance with FARs and help identify potential areas of conflict with other departments;
  • Undergoing advanced training and then participating in the Piedmont Airlines Safety Management System;
  • Undergoing training in order to perform various audits, including IOSA, DOD, and other audits as assigned;
  • Researching and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of applicable FARs;
  • Maintaining awareness of emerging industry events that may affect the Piedmont operation;
  • Participating in the Inflight Data Analysis Group;
  • Ensuring open communication between Inflight Services, Inflight Training, other Piedmont Airlines departments, the FAA, and other organizations, as required;
  • Performing audits on various operational-related metrics, such as turn-cleans, catering, and on-time performance;
  • Assisting Inflight Training with training initiatives, such as the tablet program, manual audits, and other programs as assigned by the Manager of Inflight Training;
  • Participating in flight attendant interviews;
  • Maintaining qualification as a Piedmont flight attendant, if applicable, and remaining ready at any time to perform the job functions of a Piedmont Airlines flight attendant;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must have at least 2 years of aviation education and/or experience
  • Competency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Piedmont Airlines policies and procedures
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Positive attitude and customer service orientation
  • Knowledge and ability to research/apply FAA regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity of airline products, services, and operations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
  • Must be diplomatic and able to confidently speak to and work with people with diverse backgrounds

  • Must be willing to work all assigned hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Four-year degree (or higher) in a related field
  • Flight attendant experience
  • Current Piedmont flight attendant

 Position Type/Expected Work Hours

  • This is a full-time position, and hours and shifts will rotate regularly to include evening and weekend hours as job duties demand.
  • When used for line flying, work hours will be the same as those for all Piedmont flight attendants.


  • Some out-of-area and overnight travel is expected, especially when used for line flying.

 Work Environment:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines, and filing cabinets.
  • When used for line flying, the work environment will include the aircraft cabin and airport terminal. Exposure to extreme temperatures and the elements is likely.

 Physical Requirements: 

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 pounds; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • When performing the duties of a Piedmont Airlines flight attendant, in addition to the information above, the employee is required to lift weight up to 70 pounds; be able to adequately perform all safety functions of the flight attendant position; be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions; and all other physical demands as required by the flight attendant position.
